MULTI-DISCIPLINARY DESIGNER

E.MOTIONS︎︎︎

SELF DIRECTED
2022

BRIEF

Create a collection of designs that capture a range of different feelings and moods.

CONCEPT

Using abstract shapes and a range of colours to create evocative imagery.

BREATHE MOTION︎︎︎

SELF DIRECTED
2021

BRIEF

Create a short typographic motion design to represent a word.

CONCEPT

I used a bold, contrasting colour palette to ironically communicate the overwhelming sense of anxiety that technology can generate. The build-up of stickers allows for an overwelming crescendo of visual material, furthering the sense of anxiety.

THE CROW MOTION︎︎︎

SELF DIRECTED
2021

BRIEF

Responds to, articulates or adapts an excerpt of the story The Crow told by Aboriginal elder Uncle Greg Simms, (Gadigal, Gundungurra, Dharug Elder).

CONCEPT

Using imagery, textures, and sounds from La Perouse to create a hollistic and rich visual language that captures the energy of the environment and the narrative.

BRIEF

Create a design for a tote bag to promote sustainability and generate enviornmental awareness.

CONCEPT

Design 1 uses stickers to ironically highlight the use of single-use plastics as a major contributor to environmental degredation.

Design 2 sees the text melt away into the abstract background shapes, getting sucked into and lost in the swirling pollution.

I extend this respect to all First Nations peoples, including Elders past, present and emerging. I also acknowledged that First Nation sovereignty was never ceded. This continent always was, is now, and always will be, Aboriginal Land.
