BRIEF

Use a refined typographic detailing to construct a typographic print magazine that explores the notion of place, cities and type.

CONCEPT

Issue 1 explores the rugged letterforms of 13 Robinson Ln (13 Robin) – a forgotten and dilapidated residence in Sydney’s East. The use of organic, rough, and honest imagery reflects the energy of the area, exploring its rare and unique visual sensibility.

RATIONALE

With a focus on celebrating unique characters, GLYPH interrogates unseen pockets of society, unearthing hidden aesthetics of spaces. It gives visibility to underexposed artists with offbeat and esoteric styles, shining a light on exciting people and places.

I extend this respect to all First Nations peoples, including Elders past, present and emerging. I also acknowledged that First Nation sovereignty was never ceded. This continent always was, is now, and always will be, Aboriginal Land.
